Evan Allen, MD, is a family medicine practitioner who provides concierge medicine at his practice, Allen Wellness Center in Henderson, Nevada. Dr. Allen was born in the Philippines and moved to California at age 4.
After graduating with honors from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California, Dr. Allen received a scholarship from the United States Air Force (USAF) to earn his Doctor of Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical School in Loma Linda, California.
He completed his residency in family medicine at Travis Air Force Base near Fairfield, California, receiving the Goff-Hougas award at graduation.
Dr. Allen was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base just outside Las Vegas, Nevada, and then Izmir Air Station in Izmir, Turkey. After leaving the Air Force at the rank of major, Dr. Allen moved back to Southern Nevada, working for various clinics and then as a staff physician and eventually director of primary care at Fremont Medical Centers in Henderson.
He spent a year at Diagnostic Center of Medicine in Henderson. While there, Dr. Allen decided he could offer the best care to his patients as a solo practitioner and opened Allen Wellness Center in 2007.
A full-service family physician, Dr. Allen provides patient-centered care, admitting his own patients to the hospital when circumstances allow. He recently was named one of the top family doctors in the nation.
Dedicated to medicine, Dr. Allen teaches medical students and nurse practitioner students and is part of the clinical faculty at Touro University Nevada in Henderson.
Dr. Allen is fluent in English and Spanish and speaks some Turkish and German.
In his free time, Dr. Allen enjoys watching basketball and hockey and playing racquetball. He also studies the classical period in ancient history, linguistics, psychology, biology, and philosophy.
